Kanakmath Temple




Kanakmath Temple is situated in Sinhoniya, a sacred place for the Jains. This 1,000 year old temple has been built in the shape of a chariot. The uniqueness of the temple is that it is built of stones without applying any cement, clay or lime. The temple presents carved figures of Hindu gods and goddesses. It is believed that the temple was built by king Kirti Raj to fulfill the will of Queen Kakanwati. The temple is built in Khajuraho style and has a height of 115 ft.

Kanakmath Temple is around 4 km from Sinhoniya to the north-west of Morena.
