Jaora is located in Ratlam District of Madhya Pradesh and is around 40 km north of Ratlam. It was a princely state before the partition of the Indian sub-continent.

The shrine of Hussain Tekri built by Iftikhar Ali is situated here. The place is also famous for the ritual called Hajri.

Jaora Railway Station is on the Ratlam Mandasor rail route. The nearest airport is at Indore.
