Gopachal Atishaya Kshetra

Situated in the fort of Gwalior, Gopachal Atishaya Kshetra is famous for its magnificent idols. The main deity of this temple is a 42 feet high and 30 feet wide idol of Lord Parshwanath. It is said that the Mughal emperor Babar ordered his soldiers to break the idols, and when soldiers ventured to do so, a miracle was seen and the invaders were compelled to run away.
