Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary




Established in 1974, the Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary is situated in Mandsaur District of Madhya Pradesh.

Spread over an area of 369 sq km, it is home to a variety of flora and fauna. Major animal species found here include leopard, bear, blue ball, Chinkara, wild boar, wild dog, fox, wild cat and jackal.

The best time to visit the sanctuary is between April and May.

The nearest airport is at Kota, Rajasthan. The major railheads are at Shamgarh, Bhawan, Mandi and Neemuch. Nearest bus stations are at Mandsaur, Neemuch and Kota.
