Walayar Dam

Walayar Dam is situated about 15 km from Palakkad near the boundary of Kerala and Tamilnadu. Constructed in 1964, the dam is built across the famous Walayar River, branch of the Bharathapuzha. The dam site is ideal for family holidays. Loknayak J P Smrithivanam and Deer Park is the nearby attraction.

To get here, the nearest airport is C A Coimbatore Airport. Walayar has its own railway station.
