Kaduthuruthy Mahadeva Temple

Mahadeva Temple at Kaduthuruthy is a famous shrine in Kottayam District of Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Evidences reveal that the shivling of this temple was brought to this place by an asura saint 'Khara,' together with other two shivlings, one of them consecrated at Vaikom Mahadeva Temple and another one at Ettumanoor Mahadeva Temple. The visit to the three-shiva shrines at Ettumanoor, Kaduthuruthy and Vaikom all in one day is believed to be very auspicious.

The temple is 15 km from Vaikom.
