Trikkannad is about 1 km from
Bekal in
Kasargod District. The main attraction is the
Trikkannad Shiva Temple on the seashore and the temple is dedicated to
Lord Shiva. There is a legend that once a ship of a Pandya king was converted into a rock when the king attacked the Trikkannad temple.
The places of interest in the locality are
Pandiyan Kallu and Palakkunnu Bhagavathy Kshetram. The Bharani festival of the temple is famous. Trikkannad is also an ideal place for adventure swimmers.
