Pushpanjali

Pushpanjali is an offering of flowers to the god. 'Pushpa' means 'flower' and 'Anjali' means 'offering with folded hands.' It is an offering from the heart of the people at the feet of the Lord. Raktapushpanjali may be offered either with red flowers or red kumkum.

Traditionally, dancers would begin their performance only after offering Pushpanjali.
