Nagas

Nagas are characters in Hindu mythology and are also mentioned in Buddhist Mythology. They are half human and half snake and are the guardians of water bodies. They live in the patalaloka.

Nagas are off springs of Sage Kashyap and Kadru, daughter of Daksha. Sesha, Ananta, Vasuki and Thakshaka are the prominent nagas.
