The Daksha Sheth Dance Company, owned by the renowned dancer Daksha Sheth, is a group of performing artists who seek to bridge contemporary dance and traditional movement arts. It is regarded to be the most radical and visionary contemporary dance company in India. The company is situated at Ookode, in

The artists of the company have received initial training in Indian classical dance, predominantly in Bharatanatyam. After joining the company, they are provided with an additional comprehensive training in Yoga, Kalaripayattu, Mallakhamb and gymnastics, as well as in a diverse range of musical instruments.
Natyshram, a rural arts center, situated in the lush, sylvan surroundings on the banks of Lake Vellayani, functions as a dynamic center for multicultural and multimedia interactions in the arts. It is also the permanent base for AARTi - an Academy for Arts Research, Training and Innovation, a registered charitable institution founded in 1989 by the dancer couple.
