Thiruchittapara Anjaneya Swamy Temple




Thiruchittapara Anjaneya Swamy Temple is a beautiful shrine situated at Thannimoodu in Nedumangad at Thiruvananthapuram. This temple, situated at the top of a hill, enshrines Lord Hanuman, also known by the name Anjaneya, as the main deity.

Devotees must take a flight of 400 stairs to reach this holy temple. Visitors can enjoy magnificent glimpses of the sunset and expanses of green from atop the hill.

An ashram, offering mental peace and solitude, is situated nearby.

A large number of monkeys inhabit the hillock. Devotees consider them sacred and feed them. Vada Mala and butter are the main offerings at the temple.

This place is located on the Vattapara-Vembayam Road. Trivandrum International Airport (24 km) and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (17 km) are the nearest airport and railway station.
