Thalangara




Thalangara, 2 km from Kasargod, is famous for the Urs held at the Malik Dinar Mosque founded by Malik Ibu Dinar. This is one of the best preserved and most important places of worship in the district. Chandragiri, the longest river in the district, embraces the sea at Thalangara.

Thalangara is famous for the elegant hand-embroidered caps made of superior quality cotton cloth. These are available in different colours and patterns.

Nearest railhead is Kasargod Railway Station, 3 km from Kasargod town. Mangalore airport, also known as Bajpe airport, is the nearest airport. Regular bus services and taxis are available from Kasargod to Thalangara.
