Ambalavayal Heritage Museum




Ambalavayal Heritage Museum, situated 12 km south of Sulthan Bathery, is one of the best maintained archaeological museums in Wayanad District.

It houses a rare collection of artifacts that throws light over the untold history, culture and heritage of the Malabar region. The exhibits include 14th and 16th century sculptures, jewelry, hunting and fishing weapons, farming implements, ancient terracottas, stone weapons, rock edicts and other remnants that dates back to the 2nd century. The display fascinates a historian, archaeologist and a common man alike.

The museum timings are from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs.
