Shri Bhagavathy Temple is located at Pazhayaveedu in
Alappuzha District and is about 3 km from
Alappuzha. The temple deity is Bhagavati, an incarnation of Goddess Shakti.
The temple festival is celebrated for three days and many cultural programs are organized. Kuthiyottam, Padayani and Garudan Thookam are the major folk rituals held during the festival.
