Madayi




Madayi is a small village located about 22 km from Kannur, in Kerala. It is famous for a 12th century mosque, the Madayi Mosque, built by Malik Ibn Dinar, a Muslim preacher.

Other places to visit here include Madayi Kavu Temple, Vadukunnu Temple, a beautiful beach and a dilapidated fort, which is believed to have been built by Tipu Sultan.

Madayi is about 115 km from the Calicut Airport. Nearest railway station is the Payangadi Railway Station.
