Kunhimangalam

Kunhimangalam is a quaint village situated at the north end of Kannur District. Numerous coconut trees and hillocks dotting its terrain add to the scenic bliss. The village has a rich cultural heritage; many artists, painters, craftsmen, and theater groups who had made this hamlet their home, are proof of this fact. The famous ' Aduppootti Para ' (Umbrella rock) was excavated from here.

The Ashtamachal temple, Madayikkavu temple and the famous Ezhimala Naval Academy, which is a short distance from Kunhimangalam are other places worth visiting. The village is well connected to major cities by road and rail.
