Kozhummal

Kozhummal is a small village located in Kannur District of Kerala. It is about 3 km from Karivellur and 14 km from Payyanur.

This village is the land of traditional folks such as Theyyam and Poorakali. These arts forms are closely related to the life of villagers.

A number of ancient kavu and temples can be found, significant being Kozhummal Makeel Mundiyakavu, Vareekara Bhagavathy Kavu and Kozhummal Sri Mahavishnu Temple.

Regular buses connect Kozhummal with Kannur and Payyanur. The nearest railhead is Payyanur Railway Station.
