Kozhencherry Shri Krishna Swamy Temple

Shri Krishna Swamy Temple is nestled in the heart of Kozhencherry town on a side road opposite to the bus stand in Pathanamthitta District. The Panchaloha idol of Shri Krishna with Rukmini and Satyabhama is the principal deity. The temple and the deity face the eastern bank of the sacred river Pampa.

The idol taken in procession is that of Balamuralikrishna (Lord Krishna playing on the flute). Other deities seen inside the temple are Lakshmi Devi, Hanuman and Garuda. At the north eastern corner of the main temple are the sub temples of Nagaraja, Nagayakshi and Brahmarakhshas.

The Maramon Convention, held in Feb-March, on the banks of river Pampa, is very famous. Parthasarathi Temple of Aranmula is situated nearby.

Thiruvalla Railway Station and Cochin International Airport are the nearest access points.
