Shri Krishna Swamy Temple

Shri Krishna Swamy Temple is located at Ambikapuram in Palakkad District. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna, known here by the name Navaneetha Gopalakrishna. This place is surrounded by many agraharams (brahmin colonies). The sub deities enshrined here are Lord Ganesh and Lord Muruga.

This temple was constructed by a royal family belonging to the area. Folklore tells that this temple was neglected for years and this led to bad fortunes in the royal family and the family had no children. Due to this reasons the idol was reinstalled. It is said that with this the luck of the royal family changed.

It is believed that those who are not having children are blessed with children by praying here. The temple can be easily reached from Palakkad town.
