Nirapara




Nirapara is a full measure of paddy heaped for ceremonial offerings. In this custom, the traditional measuring container called 'Para' is filled to the brim with paddy and decorated with ‘Thengin Pookula’ and flowers.

In Kerala, the procession from temples is received with nirapara. It also has great significance in Hindu marriage functions.
