Nedumkandam

Nedumkandam is about 56 km from Munnar and is located on the Munnar- Thekkady road. The place is famous for pepper and cardamom cultivation. Another unique aspect of this place is that each household owns at least a cow, and the sale of milk products sustains the family.

Nedumkandam was a forest area before the mass migration of people from low lands in search of cultivable lands during the 1960’s.
