St Mary's Jacobite Church, located at
Tripunithura in
Ernakulam District, was founded around 12th century by parishioners of the Karingachira Church. In 1825, a group of parishioners loyal to Rome separated the church and established St Mary's Forane church at a place south of this church.
The altar houses beautiful carvings. The throne room and the resting room of Holy Fathers are decorated with monumental furniture.
The annual festival of the church is celebrated on January 15.
