Meppadi




Meppadi, an important place on the Kozhikode-Ooty State Highway 29, is 10 km east of Kalpetta in Wayanad District. Chembra peak, the highest hill in Wayanad, is near this town. The places of interest are Sentinel Rock waterfall, Kanthanpara waterfalls, Meenmutty waterfalls, Edakkal Caves, and Pookot Lake. Meppadi hill is a good spot for trekking.

Direct buses are available from Sulthan Bathery Bus Station to bus station in Meppadi. Calicut Airport in Kozhikode is the nearest airport (100 km). Kozhikode railway station is the nearest railway access point.
