Melamcode Muthumari Amman Temple




Muthumari Amman Temple is a religious spot located near Karakkamandapam at Melamcode in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. Muthumari Amman, a form of Shakti is the presiding deity. The goddess is associated with prosperity and health and devotees extol her for her ability to cure small pox and chicken pox.

Separate shrines are dedicated to Lord Ganesh and Nagaraja in the temple complex. The annual festival is organized in the month of November.

Vellayani Devi Temple, Nemom Ganapathi Temple and Karakkamandapam Shri Shiva Temple are situated nearby.

This temple is located about 14 km from the Trivandrum International Airport. Nemom Railway Station is on the Thiruvananthapuram-Kanyakumari line. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station (7 km) is the major railway station.
