Located in
Chalakudi, Meelor is the biggest agricultural village in
Kerala. The village boasts about 15 varieties of tapioca and 100 varieties of bananas. There is a cultural farm, surrounded by paddy fields and banana plantations, that houses a variety of herbs and bananas, a big natural pond, fishes and cows. Toddy (natural coconut beer) preparation is done at the farm.
Central Bus Station connects Thrissur, Munnar and Kochi by regular bus services. The nearest railway station is Chalakudi Railway Station. The closest airport is Cochin International Airport.
