Malayatoor Perunal is an important festival, held at Catholic Church, in Malayatoor, about eight kilometers from
Kaladi. It is held to commemorate the visit of the great apostle St Thomas, and generally falls on the second Sunday after
Easter (March-April). During the festival, a large number of devotees visit the shrine, chanting the name of the apostle.
