30 km away from Manjeri, Kalikavu is located near Nilambur, Malappuram District. The place is an important rubber plantation area. Other crops abundant here are pepper and arecanut. Kalikavu is also rich in mineral deposits. Iron ore, as magnetite and quartzite is found here. Kalikavu Temple at Neduva is a major local attraction.
The nearest airport is Calicut Airport (25 km). Regular bus services connect Kalikavu with Manjeri, Palakkad and Kozhikode. The closest railway station is at Kozhikode.
