Malampuzha River




Malampuzha River is among the major a tributaries of the Bharathapuzha, the longest river in Kerala. It originates from the Western Ghats, a chain of highlands that runs along the western coast of India. The river flows through Malampuzha, a lush green town in Palakkad District, before it meets with the main river.

Malampuzha Dam, the reservoir constructed across this river meets the drinking water needs of Malampuzha and nearby villages. Malampuzha Garden, Malampuzha Passenger Ropeway and Fantasy Park are some major attractions on the banks of Malampuzha River.
