Peruvannamuzhi is a village located about 60 km from
Kozhikode, in
Kerala. Surrounded by beautiful forests, it is a perfect tourist spot in
Kozhikode District.
Major point of attraction is the Smaraka Thottam, a garden built in memory of the freedom fighters of the region.
Peruvannamuzhi is also a picturesque dam site, the Peruvannamuzhi Dam, with boating facilities. Rowboat cruising and speed boating are the main attractions here. A snake park, a bird sanctuary and a crocodile farm close to the dam draw more tourists.
The nearest railhead is Kozhikode Railway Station (60 km). Calicut Airport is about 22 km from Kozhikode. Regular buses connect Peruvannamuzhi with Kozhikode and Perambra.
