Chirakkal




Chirakkal is a small hamlet in Kannur District and is about 6 km from Kannur. This place has historical importance as it was under the rule of Kolathiri Raja.

Chirakkal Palace and Kalarivathukkal Shri Bhagavathy Temple, one of the renowned Bhadrakali temples in northern Kerala, are the major interests here. St Angelo Fort and Payyambalam Beach are nearby attractions.

Chirakkal Railway Station is on the Kannur - Payyanur rail route.
