Mannarasala




Mannarsala is a small village located 32 km south of Alappuzha. It was formerly known by the name 'Mandarasala' due to the abundance of flowering trees, ' Mandaram '. Mannarasala is a famous center of pilgrimage where Nagaradhana (serpent-worship) is popular. The story goes that Mannarasala is where Parashuram did his tapas (penance) before he left Kerala. The largest snake temple in Kerala named Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple is in this village.

Trivandrum International Airport is at a distance of 121 km and Cochin International Airport is 132 km from this place. The nearest railway station is Harippad Railway Station.
