Karthikappally is a village in Alappuzha District. According to historians, this region might have been under water and the area was formed by the accumulation of silt and sand. The famous Krishnapuram Palace housing one of the largest mural collections in Kerala, and the beautiful Kayamkulam Lake are the main attractions. Karthikappally Marthoma Church and Chettikulangara temple are easily accessible from here.
