Gosripuram




Gosripuram is situated at Mattancherry in Ernakulam District. It is the home of the Konkani speaking gowda Saraswat Brahmin community. The place derived its name from three words namely "Gomanthak", "Srimanth" and "Puram", which means the settlement (Puram) of the wealthy people (Srimanth) from Goa (Gomanthak).

Cochin Thirumala Devaswom Temple, Shri Hanuman Temple, Vrindavan Temple, Vighneswara Temple, Shri Mahalakshmi Temple, Garuda Temple and Udyaneswar Shiva Temple are the main temples in the vicinity.
