Taliparamba, also known as Perumchellur or Chellur, is a village placed on the banks of the river Parassini, near Ezhimala in Kannur District. This place is also known as Lakshmipuram, which means the Abode of Laskhmidevi, the goddess of wealth. Numerous coconut trees and hillocks dotting its terrain add to the scenic beauty. The people living here are mostly Brahmins. Local attractions include Raja Rajeswara Temple, Trichambaram Temple, Kanhiranagad Vaidyanatha Temple and Mazhoor Dharmikulngara Temple.

The nearest railway station and bus station are at Kannur. Calicut Airport is the closest airport.
