Venugopalakrishna Temple




Venugopalakrishna Temple, built in 1900 AD, is located at Chennamangalam in Ernakulam District of Kerala.

The temple enshrines the Shila Vigrah (stone image) of Venugopalakrishna Swamy (Lord Krishna). There are sub-shrines for Lord Ganesh, Rajagopala Swamy (with Rukmini and Satyabhama) and Nagaraja.

Every year in the month of Visakha (April-May) a six day festival is held here. The utsav idol of Krishna, Garuda and Hanuman are also seen inside the temple.

Chennamangalam is about 42 km from Ernakulam and 22 km from Aluva.
