Thrichittattu Vishnu Temple is situated at Chengannur in Alappuzha District. This temple is believed to have been built by Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas.
Legend has it that Yudhishtira worshipped Lord Vishnu here requesting atonement for his act on the battlefield which caused the death of Ashwathathma, the son of Dronacharya. Every year, a grand procession is held here accompanied by caparisoned elephants.
