Venad Express




Introduced in 1976, Venad Express runs between Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station and Shoranur Junction Railway Station. Both stations are located in Kerala. (‘Venad’ was the name of an early state in Kerala). This daily train is mostly used by commuters and office-goers. Main stations on the way are at Thrissur, Angamaly, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Kayamkulam and Varkala. Venad Express has more than ten stops and covers a distance of 328 km. Facilities include double decker cars, a refreshment car and two first class sitting coaches. A/C chair car and second seating coaches are also available. Base fare:
Class CC – Rs 336.00
Class 2S – Rs 100.00

Train number 6301: Shoranur to Thiruvananthapuram, leaves Shoranur at 14:30 hrs.
Train number 6302: Thiruvananthapuram to Shoranur, leaves Thiruvananthapuram at 05:00 hrs.
