Champakulam

Champakulam, a water logged village is situated in Alappuzha. An old market called the Kalloorkkadu Angadi is located in this place. The main attraction of the place is the St Mary's Forane Church built in AD 427. The walls of the church are decorated with beautiful mural paintings. Every year the famous Nadubhagam and Champakulam snake boat races are organized here.
