Beypore Beach is situated 10 km south of
Kozhikode. Historically it was one of the prominent ports and fishing harbors. It was also an important trade and maritime center. The place is famous for the construction of the Uru, the traditional Arabian trading vessel. The unique feature of the beach is the 2 km long bridge built of stone.
