Kumarakodi




Kumarakodi is a beautiful village located about 20km south of Alappuzha. It is the eternal resting place of great poet Kumaranasan, the true representative of the cultural renaissance in Kerala who introduced new form of poetry to Malayalam called 'Khandakavya'. Kumaranasan is not only a poet but also a great social activist. Located close to Harippad town on the bank of Pallana river, Kumarakodi also boasts a library in the name of poet.
