Rajakkad




Rajakkad is a small commercial town in the taluk of Udumbanchola in Idukki District. It is about 30 km from Adimali. The main occupation is agriculture. Cardamom, pepper, rice, coffee, tapioca and betel leaves are grown in abundance.

The prominent attractions are Kuthumkal Waterfalls, Mukkudi, Kuthumkal Dam and Mangathotty. Accommodations are available at Pallam Palace Hotel. A famous pilgrim center, Devamata Church at Rajakumary is around 7 km.

The bus stand has direct buses to Adimali, Kattappana, Kumily and Nedumkandam, and other places in the neighboring districts. Cochin International Airport is the nearest airport. The convenient railway stations are Kottayam Railway Station and Aluva Railway Station.
