A famous Jumma Mosque

Ullal Dargah is located in Mangalore. Built in 1958, it is a peaceful dargah attracting Hindus, Christians and Muslims. Located close to Ullal beach, the mosque has glorious history. It is believed that Saint Shareeful Madani came from Medina around 400 years ago and reached the Ullal shores floating on a piece of cloth (musalla). He stayed at a small mosque in the village which is the present Jumma Mosque. There is a famous well in the mosque with permanent source of water which has healing power. Large number of devotees arrives here to seek the saint’s blessings and pay obeisance. The death anniversary of the saint, Uroos festival, is held once in five years.
