Haveri




Haveri, the administrative headquarters of the Haveri District, is a small town situated on the National Highway 4, between Hubli and Davangere, in Karnataka. It is an important center for cardamom trade in the district.

Haveri was a major center of the Kalamukha sect in India. As many as 32 scriptures have been unearthed from here. Nearby tourist attractions include Byadgi (15 km) and Ranibennur (26 km).

Haveri Railway Station is a prominent junction under the South Western Railways. The nearest airport is at Bellary (119 km). Haveri Bus Station located at the heart of the city connects Haveri with major cities and towns in Karnataka.
