Muddebihal taluk of Bijapur District. It was in this place that Krishnadevaraya's son-in-law, Aravidu Ramaraya, was defeated by the four Shashi Sultans in 1565. Bijapur Railway Station is the nearest major railway station. The nearest airport is at Belgaum.
