Davangere District




Davanagere District of Karnataka is an ancient city of historical importance. It was part of the kingdom of the Devagiri Yadavas. Davanagere is famous for its textile industry. The place is a trading center for cotton and grain.

There is an outdoor artificial climbing wall installed in the Davangere District Stadium meant for tourists and school children. Anagodu, Anaji, Hadali, Harihar and Mayakonda are the places to visit. Davangere is well connected to the other parts of India by rail and road.
