Nipani




Located in Belgaum District of Karnataka, Nipani is a small town on the border of Maharashtra and Karnataka. Famous for beedi (traditional cigarette), this town is on Pune-Bangalore highway ( National Highway 4) between Kanangle and Saundalga.

The place shows traits of Jain influence and there are two Jain temples at Nipani. Accommodation facility is available near the temple of Parshwanath. Tavandi (Shri Stavanidhi Tirth) is 5 km away. Chikkodi, famous for Jain temples, is another pilgrim spot nearby. Dhanvanthari Ayurveda College is located here.

Belgaum is 60 km south. Belgaum Airport and Belgaum Railway Station are the nearest access points. State Highway 18 connects Nipani with Chikkodi.
