Puttur




Puttur Taluk in Dakshina Kannada District is a hilly area. It shares the boundary with Sullia taluk in the south, Belthangady in the north, Bantwal in the west. The village Kadaba in this place was the center for Vijayanagar rule. Puttur Mahalingeswara Temple, Ganesh and Nilkantha temples are the famous temples located here. The natural hot water spring of Bendre Teertha located 15 km away from this taluk is an ideal picnic spot.
