Ulvi is a small village situated 36 km from Joida in Uttara Kannada District. It is a sacred place famous for a temple called Chennabasavanna Temple where jaitras are conducted during Shivratri, Makara sankranti,, Basavajayanthi and MaghaPoornima. Accommodations are available in the form of a small 40 room lodge and dharmashalas. The village is on the border of Anshi National Park.
