Paradise Flycatcher




Paradise Flycatcher (Terpsiphone Viridis) is a medium sized flycatcher with a greenish black head. The upperparts and tail are orange. The female is similar in color but has a short tail.

Feeding on insects, the bird prefers savanna and gardens.

The nest of Paradise Flycatcher is cup shaped, built on the fork of trees. They are made of grass and roots and set on the bark with spiders’ webs.

Paradise Flycatcher can be seen in the Naharh Wildlife Sanctuary, Harayana.
