Nittur Jain Temple




Built in 1175, Nittur Jain Temple is located at Nittur in Gubbi taluk of Tumkur District. The main deity is the white idol of Bhagawan Shanthinatha in kayotsarga posture. The idols of Goddess Jwalamalini and Goddess Bhuvaneshwari are also found here.

The temple is decorated with artistic and attractive carvings of tirthankars, yaksha and yakshi.

People from different parts of the state visit this temple and pay homage to deities. Every Sunday special puja is offerred to Goddess Jwalamalini.

Transportation facilities are available from Tumkur and Gubbi.
